Born in Slovakia (21st April 1963), he studied at Conservatory in Bratislava, led by professor Zsapka. As one of a few Slovak musicians he graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston USA. In years 1990 and 2001 he won a prize Instrumentalist of Year – the prize of Slovak Academy of Arts. He plays the acoustic guitar and is a great studio player. He was a member of Peter Breiner’s band Klobása. He was a part of jazz trio together with academic guitarist and famous jazzman Matúš Jakabčic, and Anton Jaro. For a long period of time he collaborated with jazz singer Adriena Bartošová – Scat band.
Regularly he appears on Slovak Jazz Days. He also co-operated with Radio Bratislava Big Band, with American saxophone-player Peter Cardarelli, with David Spak(USA), with Philipp van Endert (DE), with Slovak soul singer Marcel Palonder, with Alan Roy Scott, with Dežo Ursíny, Pavol Hammel, Vašo Patejdl, Paľo Habera, Dara Rolins, Marián Varga, Rišo Muller, Juraj Tatár, Oľga Záblacká and with band Lojzo.
One of his most stable formations is trio with his schoolmates from Boston – Johan Svensson-ds (S) and Per Mathisen-bg (N)
