He born in 1982 in Teplice. Guitarists began to work in his eight years with his father George Freml at the Music School Zruč nad Sázavou. From 1996-2002 he attended the Gymnasium of Jan Neruda in a musical orientation in Prague, Vaclav Kucera in the classroom and later Conservatory of Pardubice, where he graduated with Peter Said. In the academic year 2007/2008 took part in an internship at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar Germany in the class of Prof. Thomas Müller -Peringa. In 2009 he got his Master studies at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno in the class of Prof. Martin Mysliveček Doc.Vladislava and welfare, ArtD. He completed a PhD in 2012 under the leadership of Prof. Barbara Willi, PhD. Currently he is studying program Aufbau B – Chamber Music (duo Siempre Nuevo) at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar with Prof. Thomas Müller -Peringa.

During his musical life participated in many international competitions, where he won many awards ( “International Guitar Biennial Kutna Hora”, “Guitar Art Festival” -Belehrad, “John Duarte Competition” Disturbing, “Concorso Mercatali” -Gorizia, Guitar Competition JK Mertz “-Bratislava” Split Guitar Festival “-Split and others).

Mgr.art. Matej Freml, PhD. He teaches at the Music School Zruč nad Sázavou and from 2012 and the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno.
